UKPSC RO ARO Final Result 2025— 136 Candidates Appointed
UKPSC published the first selection result on 28 March 2025. It was cancelled due to a technical error. A fresh notice was issued on 02 April 2025 and the revised final result was published on 11 April 2025. Most competitor sites reported the 28 March result as valid — it was not. The only valid document is Doc No. 03/23/RO-ARO 2023/G-1/2024-25 dated 11 April 2025.
Legal status: The result is subject to the final decision of 5 pending writ petitions in the Nainital High Court — Writ No. 1741, 1847, 1807, 1830 and 2051 of 2023. Selected candidates can typically proceed with appointment unless a specific court stay order is issued.
Special note: S.No. 37 on the RO Sachivalaya list — Roll 117723, EWS category — has a criminal case pending in court. The selection is marked with an asterisk in the official document.
Post-wise Selection Count — 136 Across 6 Post-Department Combinations
| Post | Office | Vacancies | Selected |
| RO (Samiksha Adhikari) | UK Sachivalaya | 53 | 53 |
| RO | UKPSC (Lok Seva Aayog) | 08 | 07 |
| RO | Rajaswa Parishad | 08 | 08 |
| ARO (Sahayak Samiksha Adhikari) | UK Sachivalaya | 60 | 60 |
| ARO | UK Sachivalaya | 02 | 02 |
| ARO | Rajaswa Parishad | 06 | 06 |
| Total | 137 | 136 |
One RO post in the UKPSC Lok Seva Aayog office went unfilled — 7 selected against 8 vacancies.
18 OBC and EWS Candidates Selected Under General Merit — What It Means
In RO Sachivalaya alone, 9 OBC and 9 EWS candidates crossed the General category merit cutoff and were absorbed into General seats. The gap between General and OBC final cutoffs was just 0.52 marks. The category-wise minimum marks that determined this outcome are covered on the cutoff marks page.
This migration affected reserved category seat allocation — OBC candidates who crossed GEN merit occupied GEN seats, which may have shifted the effective OBC category cutoff downward.

UKPSC RO/ARO Computer Test and Typing Result 2025 — 28 March 2025
The practical test comprising Hindi-English typing and Basic Computer Knowledge was held from 24 February to 06 March 2025. Results for this stage — including computer marks and typing speeds of all 735 candidates — were published on 28 March 2025 alongside the (later cancelled) first selection result.
Key outcomes from the computer and typing stage:
- Hindi typing minimum: 4,000 CKDPH — mandatory for both RO and ARO
- English typing: 8,000 CKDPH for RO, 9,000 CKDPH for ARO — preference not mandatory
- Computer test: minimum 40% qualifying — does not add to merit score
- Several candidates with 240+ mains marks were eliminated at this stage for failing Hindi typing
Computer marks and individual typing speeds of all 735 candidates were published on psc.uk.gov.in as separate PDFs.
Candidates with 240+ Marks Not Selected — Typing Test Was the Filter
Several candidates who scored above 240 total in mains do not appear in the final selection list. The reason is the practical test — candidates who failed to achieve the minimum Hindi typing speed of 4,000 CKDPH were disqualified regardless of their written marks.
The written exam qualifying cutoff for General category was 226.03. The final selection cutoff for RO Sachivalaya was 248.13. The 22-mark gap between these two figures represents the filtering effect of the typing and computer stage.
UKPSC RO/ARO Mains Result 2025 — 735 Qualified on 30 January 2025
The Mains exam was held on 26–27 October 2024 across three papers — General Studies (200 marks), Hindi Composition (100 marks) and Essay Writing (100 marks). Based on performance in these three papers, 735 candidates were declared qualified for the practical test on 30 January 2025.
Individual total marks and minimum qualifying scores for the mains stage were published with the final selection result on 11 April 2025 — not at this stage. For a detailed breakdown of what the mains exam covers, the exam pattern and syllabus page has the full paper structure.
UKPSC RO/ARO Prelims Result 2024 — 2,285 Qualified on 29 February 2024
The Prelims exam was held on 17 December 2023. The result was declared on 29 February 2024 with 2,285 candidates provisionally qualified for mains, subject to verification of original documents after mains.
Amendment on 13 May 2024: Four candidates’ results were cancelled — they had already availed ex-serviceman horizontal reservation in a prior appointment. Five new candidates were added. The revised ex-serviceman category cutoff became 91.4679, down from the original 92.4814. The final answer key for this paper is available on the answer key page.
UKPSC published individual marks of all candidates alongside the prelims result on psc.uk.gov.in.

Frequently Asked Questions — UKPSC RO/ARO Result
Q1: The 28 March result is still showing on some sites as valid — is it?
No. UKPSC officially cancelled the 28 March 2025 result due to a technical error. A cancellation notice was issued on 02 April 2025. The only valid final result is dated 11 April 2025 under Doc No. 03/23/RO-ARO 2023/G-1/2024-25.
Q2: One RO UKPSC post went unfilled — what happens to it?
UKPSC does not automatically carry forward unfilled posts. Whether this post appears in the 2026 notification depends on the commission’s decision. No official announcement has been made.
Q3: The result says “subject to writ petitions” — does that affect my appointment?
Selected candidates can typically proceed with appointment unless a specific stay order is granted by the court. Monitor psc.uk.gov.in and Nainital High Court orders for updates on the 5 pending petitions.
Q4: My total marks are above the cutoff but I am not in the selection list — why?
Two possible reasons: the typing test eliminated you despite good written marks, or your marks fell below the cutoff for your specific post-department combination. Cutoffs differ across all 6 combinations — GEN cutoff for RO Sachivalaya (248.13) is higher than GEN cutoff for ARO Rajaswa Parishad (242.30).
Q5: How are candidates with identical total marks ranked?
Preference goes to the older candidate by date of birth. If date of birth is also identical, the candidate with higher marks in their bachelor’s or master’s degree is ranked higher.
