Who Runs This Site

UKExamAlert is written and maintained by one person — Subham Rana. There’s no editorial team, no freelance writers, and no outsourced content. Every page you read here was checked against a source document by the same person who published it. That’s mentioned here specifically because it’s the reason corrections happen fast: there’s no queue, no approval chain, just a direct fix when something’s wrong.

Where the Facts Come From

Nothing on this site is written by reading another exam website. Before any date, eligibility rule, vacancy number, or salary figure goes live, it’s checked against one of these:

  • The official notification PDF released by the commission (UKPSC, UKSSSC, UBTER, or the relevant body)
  • The commission’s own website or recruitment portal.
  • Official press releases, corrigenda, or public circulars.

If a detail can’t be confirmed against one of these, it doesn’t get published — a guess or a figure copied from another site is worse than no answer at all.

When Pages Get Updated

Exam information doesn’t sit still — commissions issue corrigenda, push back dates, or revise vacancy counts without much warning. Pages here are rechecked whenever a commission releases a fresh notification or update on that exam, not on a fixed monthly schedule. During an active cycle (admit cards going out, results being declared), the relevant page is usually updated within a day of the official announcement. Outside active cycles, pages are still revisited periodically to catch anything that’s gone stale.

If you spot an error, an outdated date, or anything that doesn’t match the official notification, use the Contact us page to flag it. Reports are looked at directly by Subham Rana, and corrections are made without needing to go through anyone else — usually within a day or two of being flagged.

What This Site Doesn’t Do

  • We aren’t affiliated with UKPSC, UKSSSC, UBTER, or any examination authority, and we don’t influence exam processes in any way.
  • We don’t guarantee selection, admission, or any exam outcome — the site exists to make official information easier to find, not to replace it.
  • We don’t publish paid or sponsored content disguised as an official update. If a page ever carries a sponsored element, it will say so clearly.
  • We don’t run notifications as clickbait — headlines describe what’s actually in the notification, not what gets more clicks.

However carefully a page is checked, the official notification is always the final word. Before applying, paying a fee, or making any decision based on something you’ve read here:

  • Open the original notification PDF and confirm the details yourself.
  • Check the commission’s website for the latest status, since things can change after a page is published.
  • Treat anything on this site — or any third-party site — as a starting point, not the final source.
