The Uttarakhand D.El.Ed Entrance Exam is a state-level entrance test conducted by the Uttarakhand Board of School Education (UBSE) for admission to the two-year Diploma in Elementary Education programme, run across 13 District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs) in the state. The programme trains candidates for elementary school teaching positions and was earlier known by its older name, BTC (Basic Training Certificate).
A total of 650 seats are available for the 2026 batch, with 50 seats reserved per DIET, split equally between the Science and Non-Science candidate groups. Selection is based purely on entrance exam marks — there is no interview stage.
