Selection Process

The selection for Sahayak Lekhakar and related posts is completed in three stages:

Stage 1 — Written Examination (Objective): 100 marks, MCQ, offline, 2 hours. Covers Commerce, Management, and General Hindi. Minimum qualifying marks: 45% (UR/OBC/EWS), 35% (SC/ST).

Stage 2 — Typing Test (Qualifying): Candidates are shortlisted at 4 times the vacancy count per category, based on written marks. Minimum speed required is 4,000 KDPH for most posts (6,000/7,000 KDPH Hindi/English for Karyalay Sahayak-Tritiya).

Stage 3 — Record/Document Verification: Verification of educational, category, and age-related certificates. Candidates not meeting eligibility at this stage are disqualified regardless of exam score.

The final selection list is prepared based on written exam marks after clearing the typing test and record verification stages.

Exam Day & Application Instructions

• OMR sheet is in triplicate; candidate must carry out one copy and submit the second to the invigilator in the hall — failing to submit the second copy voids the candidate’s result. This is a real trap candidates miss.
• No electronic devices (phone, calculator, smartwatch, scanner) allowed in the centre — violation risks debarment from future UKSSSC exams, not just this one.
• Objection to the provisional answer key costs ₹50 per question, filed only within the announced window — after that, no objections are considered regardless of how valid.

Ans. These are two separate, independent recruitment drives with separate applications and separate vacancy counts. If you already applied under Advt 69, that application continues through its own process regardless of whether you apply to Advt 79 as well. There’s no conflict between applying to both, since they’re not competing for the same seats.

Q3: My typing speed is exactly 4,000 KDPH on practice tests — is that enough, or do I need a buffer above the minimum?

Ans. The notification states 4,000 KDPH as the minimum required speed, and the typing test is qualifying in nature (not scored toward final merit). In practice, exam-day conditions (unfamiliar keyboard, nervousness) often reduce a candidate’s real output compared to home practice, so most successful candidates build in some margin above the bare minimum rather than practicing to exactly the cutoff.

Q4: Is “Sahayak Lekhakar/Kanishtha Sampariksha” the same post as “Kanishtha Sahayak,” which I’ve seen advertised separately?

Ans. No — these are different posts despite the similar Hindi names. Sahayak Lekhakar/Kanishtha Sampariksha (Post F in this recruitment) is an accounts/audit-related post under Uttarakhand Jal Sansthan. Kanishtha Sahayak (Junior Assistant) is a generic clerical post recruited under a separate advertisement (Advt 64/UKSSSC/2024) and is unrelated to this recruitment.

Q5: If I don’t clear the 45% qualifying cutoff in the written exam, is there any way I still get called for the typing test?
