Applications for the Uttarakhand D.El.Ed Entrance Exam 2026 are submitted online through the official UBSE website, and no other mode of application is accepted. The window is open from 15 September 2026 (11:00 AM) to 6 October 2026 (11:59 PM), with the application fee payable up to 8 October 2026 (11:59 PM). Before starting, confirm you meet every condition on the eligibility — the board only checks this at counselling, not before, so it’s on you to get it right upfront.

While your application is in process, it’s a good time to also start on the Uk Deled syllabus and pattern, so preparation isn’t rushed once the application window closes.

Step 1: Registration

On the official website, go to Applicant Login and select New Registration. Enter your name, father’s name, mobile number, and email ID exactly as they’ll appear later on your form, then submit. A 6-digit OTP is sent separately to your mobile number and your email — both must be entered to verify and proceed. Only one application can be linked to a single mobile number and email ID, so don’t reuse either for a second candidate.

Step 2: Filling the Application Form

Once verified, log in and open the application form. This is where most of your details go in, including:

  • Your training group — Science or Non-Science — selected based on your graduation stream. Check the Uk Deled eligibility if you’re unsure which group you fall under before selecting.
  • Graduation course, university name, and date of completing graduation
  • Your name, father’s name, and mother’s name, exactly as they appear on your High School certificate, in English capital letters, with no titles like Mr./Mrs./Dr. added
  • Category (General, SC, ST, OBC, or EWS) and, if applicable, a sub-category such as freedom fighter dependent, ex-serviceman, orphan, andolankari, or recognised athlete
  • Whether you have a disability (PwD) of 40% or more, and if so, its type, along with whether you’ll need a scribe
  • Date of birth, in DD/MM/YYYY format, matching your High School certificate
  • Two preferred exam cities, chosen from the list of 29 official exam cities, in order of preference — this choice cannot be changed later under any circumstance, including during the correction window, so choose carefully
  • Your correspondence address with district, state, and PIN code
  • A photo ID type and number (Aadhaar, Driving Licence, Voter ID, Passport, or PAN)

Every field is compulsory, and once the form is saved, most fields cannot be edited except through the official correction window described further below — though as noted above, your exam city choice is locked in immediately and falls outside even that window. Take your time on this step.

Step 3: Uploading Photo, Signature, and Thumb Impression

Three files need to be uploaded here, each within a specific size range:

  • A recent colour photograph, 5 KB to 100 KB, in JPG format (a live camera capture option is also available)
  • Your signature, scanned and saved as 2 KB to 50 KB, in JPG format
  • Your left thumb impression, scanned and saved as 10 KB to 150 KB, in JPG format

Files outside these size ranges or in a different format will not upload.

Step 4: Preview and Confirm

This step shows everything you’ve entered and uploaded so far for a final review. Go back and fix anything that’s wrong now — once you tick the declaration checkbox and confirm, your details are locked in for payment. This is the last real opportunity to catch a mistake before it becomes a much harder problem to fix later.

Step 5: Fee Payment

The application fee depends on your category:

CategoryFee
General / OBC₹600
SC / ST₹300
PwD (all categories)₹150

Payment is accepted only through net banking, debit or credit card, or UPI — no other payment method is supported. The fee is non-refundable once paid, under any circumstance, and an application with unpaid fees by the 8 October deadline is automatically not accepted, regardless of when the form itself was filled.

Step 6: Print Your Application

After successful payment, a Print Application option becomes available on the portal. Download and keep a physical or digital copy of your completed application — you’ll need your registration number and this printout for reference later, including at counselling.

Correcting Your Application

A correction window is open from 9 to 11 October 2026 (11:59 PM), but it applies only to certain particulars, not a full re-edit of the form. Outside this window, no changes are accepted under any circumstances, whether before the exam or after the result.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. Can I submit more than one application?

Ans. No. Only one application is accepted per mobile number and email ID, and the board treats duplicate or multiple applications from the same candidate as a violation subject to legal action.

Q2. Is the application fee refundable if I made a mistake or want to withdraw?

Ans. No, the fee is non-refundable under any circumstance, whether the mistake is yours or the application is later found ineligible.

Q3. What happens if I fill the form but don’t pay before the deadline?

Ans. Your application is automatically not accepted. Filling the form alone does not count as a completed application — payment within the deadline is required.

Q4. What should I keep ready before starting the application?

Ans. Your High School and graduation certificates for exact name spelling and dates, a valid photo ID number, category certificate details if applicable, and correctly sized photo, signature, and thumb impression scans, so you’re not searching for these mid-form.
